The other day I went to a local music store all ready to splurge on a good guitar at last (I've been using a beginner-class guitar until now and I've been playing for 11 years or so, so it was a long time coming). But when I got there I found out they were having huge blow out sale this month so it was good timing. I got my guitar for more than 25% off. It's an Ibanez RG Series R420EX. It's got 24 frets with sharktooth inlays, a Floyd Rose Tremelo locking system, and a Red Arctic Frost finish. It's a beautiful guitar and the sound is sooooo much better than my old piece of garbage. Finally after 11 years I finally have a guitar worthy of my ability. I also got a nice hard case to house it in. Here's some pictures for you other guitar players out there or anybody who'll find this interesting.

Inside the case.

Standing upright. (the light isn't very good here and doesn't do the finish justice)

A nice body shot. (this one does the finish justice although it's a little overbright)

Nice guitar, MI !

This reminds me of my uncle. I remember when he bought his first high-quality guitar : he was finally able to make the strings "whistle" (ZZ-Top-like if you see what I mean), like he so long had tried before without success Smiley

Very nice guitar!

Well, actually I don't know very much about guitars, but this really looks like a high quality piece of gear, unlike those cheap Chinese and Korean clones of the Fender Stratocaster you can find in many (non-music) stores.

It's always a nice moment when you go to the shop and get that new instrument you've been so long waiting for (and saving!).

Now, enjoy it!  Cheesy

I've always been a fan of RGs. Nice one, Brandon. I think a change of avatars is in order.
