(also posted on SMC for those on both boards - sorry if you think its spamming, that's not my intent)

OK I'm not a really musically inclined person, that's why I'm glad you guys are here! LOL

but i'm thinking about making a level for LittleBigPlanet on my PS3 and with all the music levels out there, I figured Sierra needs some representation.  Was thinking about trying to do the SQ1 or 2 AGI theme since it's simple (one note at a time, pretty much).  Either that or Police Quest 1 AGI, that's pretty simple a melody as well.

does anybody have that, either on a staff (which I could probably translate given time, if its simple enough) or even better just the list of the notes written out like C D D A F# Eflat etc ...

There are a couple of midis in this website that are translations of the simpler AGI tunes. You will find it under the "Sierra AGI Classics" section of the Sierra Soundtracks page. You might want to check the MT-32 PC speaker versions there. For notation you can use the Cakewalk 3.0 sequencer found in the MT-32 Resource Center and use the "Staff" or "Event List" views to get the tracks in the midi files presented as sheet music or note events respectively. The latter will read similar to the musical letters example you mentioned.

edit: tried installing cakewalk 3 and its saying one of the files can't be read.  is there something wrong with the archive?

found this app called midi illistrator that will read the MIDIs and turn it into sheet and has the option to display the letter of the note as well, and it runs on Windows XP and I can hear it too (my win311 didn't have sound).  just posted it in case someone else wanted to look at the same thing.

Now, to figure out how to compose it in Littlebigplanet (which is apparently missing two notes from the range for some reason, probably some legal crud.  Sounds like the Black Cauldron music is the easiest to try in the ones I downloaded, i'll try that first.
