Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has an MT-32 that they would like to sell onto a new home?  I've been looking at buying one of these for a couple weeks now so I can enjoy my old classics the way they were meant to be heard.  Not only this, but I've recently had a micro studio set up in my flat which I'm looking to experiment with.  I've not had much luck so far in locating one though. Sad

Please let me know if any of you have an MT-32 or know of one for sale.  Any help would be much appreciated! Smiley  Thanks in advance!

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the reply! I have seen a couple of the mentioned listings you've posted, but I forgot to mention I am from the UK. Shipping rates from the USA seem a bit expensive Sad

Surely you wouldn't expect anyone to pay about $250-$350 for an LAPC-I. That's about their current usual price on Ebay. Not everyone is wealthy. If one is lucky, they might get one cheap elsewhere.

I'm not sentimental about the MT-32, it has compatibility issues since it lacks those 33 extra sound effects. However, a CM-32L can be a perfect substitute for the LAPC-I, either in DosBox or together with a genuine Roland interface, and one can often get one for about $50-$80.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try. Some people have offered their LAPC-i on Hungarian auction sites (where I live) for practically nothing, but I unfortuantely missed out on them.

On Japanese auctions, you often find a CM-32L very cheap. You mostly just pay for shipping. I usually go with surface shipping and wait 1 or 2 months for the stuff to arrive.

Yeah, they have always been reliable with me. I think I was the one who first suggested them here. I did try signing up on Rinkya.com, but they never got back to me.

Hi!

Thanks to both of you for the helpful replies! Based on your recommendations, I have checked out fromjapan.co.jp, and have done a 'buy it now' on an MT-32.  I've currently processed the 'charge1' payments, and chosen the combined shipping, but haven't seen any charge or option for the shipping yet (Charge 2).  Can anyone shed any light on how the shipping works out afterwards? Thanks again!

You'll have wait a few days until the item arrives at their shipping center. Then you will be given shipping options. The cheapest one is surface mail, but that can take up to 2 or 3 months.

Great!  Not sure I really want to wait that long lol, I think I'll just stick with EMS shipping, from what I hear that tends to be pretty quick.  Grin
