I've tried to support them.  I probably have 50 games, most of which I already own anyway.  But it's a shame to see it go, seeing how you could find plenty of gems, including Sierra Games...

And the gaming industry wonders why people turn to piracy or buy 2nd hand copies...

Many of these game you just can't get otherwise...

At least GOG didn't use DRM. So all my games are safe. But yea one day Steam will also switch off and we will be all left with nothing...

Actually, some claim that this is a marketing stunt and that GoG is just going out of beta at last. A bad move if it is, I think.

It is now confirmed that GOG.com (Good Ol' Games) is relaunching their site tomorrow (Thursday) and exiting beta.

There are two Youtube videos on their site - one which is a lengthy apology, the other is a promotional video.

Yeah, I saw.  I think it was kind of a bad publicity stunt.

It's one thing to say "We'll be back shortly, new and improved" versus "We can no longer exist the way we do now".
