How do i play a 32 track midi on my MU1000? I tried using the USB in as i thought it was possibly to get 32 channels with it... but it did not work (unless i missed some setup option?).

I think you need a dedicated program to access all 32 channels at the same time. Cakewalk  could probably do that, but I have no idea how.

I just returned to tell i solved it when i saw your reply Ari, and yes just like you said i needed a "special" program... i used XGworks and there i could select port for each track Smiley

just to update this thread, the USB driver specifically um310x86 allows 8x16 midi channels. the yamaha usb driver control panel found in windows control panel will show a matrix type of routing which allows you to setup multiple ports. and it will also indicate which current ports are active and playing. it is working in cakewalk 9.
