This is probably a very stupid question... but is there any way to switch the SC-55mkII off entirely? The manual says "plug in the power supply then turn on the SC-55", but I can't do this because the module goes on immediately as soon as I plug it into the power. The power button only switches it between on and standby, but regardless of what I do I can't switch it off completely without unplugging the power supply. Is this just a small inaccuracy in the manual or am I missing something? I mainly worry about having the power "forced" into the module as soon as it's plugged, and whether doing this constantly can result in some damage to the module.

Thanks in advance!

There is no power switch on the SC-55/mkII. There is only a standby mode. I don't think you can damage the module this way, but I do prefer the simplified CM-300, because that can be shut down completely.

Thanks. I've left the module on power and standby when not in use, the consumption seems to be extremely low and the adapter stays cool. Here's hoping I don't get a power surge anytime soon...  Cheesy
