Doesn't anybody have SMPUENA.EXE? I'm going to need this driver for my S-MPU-IIAT card. I did not see any driver disk in the auction pictures.

The card seems to be working, because Win95 detects it, but I can't use it in DOS, since I don't have the proper drivers for it...

Got the drivers! Lots of issues with the card on my 386-SX40. Missing channels or note dropouts in David Wolf Secret Agent. Sysex transmission issues in several Sierra games, including LSL5, unless turbo switch is turned off.
No such issues with my MPU-IPC-T card.
Any suggestions that might solve these problems? I'm set to P330 I9, there is also an AWE32 card in the system.

This card doesn't have IRQ2. I don't know if IRQ9 works the same way.

Isn't IRQ9 the same as IRQ2 for some reason? Definitely, there are issues with this card in DOS, unless my retro machine is too old for it...

Does anyone have either an S-MPU or an S-MPU-II and willing to make some tests? I got one of each (with cable and breakout box) and both have the same issues with certain games. E.g. AFAIK, David Wolf Secret Agent needs intelligent mode - I get midi music, but there are problems, some notes are not heard or some similar issue. The game is fine with my MPU-IPC-T card. I'm not sure if these issues are the fault of the S-MPU cards or it's my 386-SX40 causing them. Perhaps somebody with a more recent PC could make a test for me...I'd greatly appreciate it.

I (regrettably, I suppose) sold my S-MPU/AT a number of years ago. I've contacted the buyer in hopes that he may be willing to sell it back, so that I can help with some real testing, but in the meantime...
Are you experiencing just missing notes, or are you having trouble with SysEx as well? (With an MT-32 connected to the S-MPU, do you ever get the dreadful, "Exc. Checksum Error" message?)
As far as commands go, the S-MPU is not 100% compatible with the original MPU-401, but the incompatibilities are rather specific, and shouldn't (in my opinion) affect game playback. Rather, buffering might be an issue, or perhaps the delay caused when the MPU has to switch into "MPU-401 Mode."

I haven't tested the cards with my MT-32, but definitely, the SysEx doesn't get transmitted properly in LSL5 when the turbo switch is turned on. With turbo off, SysEx is okay, but I still get missing notes in David Wolf Secret Agent. Neither issue occurs when using my MPU-IPC-T in this computer (386 SX 40MHZ).
