Hello all,
I got my hands on a Roland SC-8850 and have managed to get it working via the midi cable but I can't seem to get it working via USB. I've downloaded the latest driver (Leopard) from Rolands website but no go.

Has anyone got it working under OSX Lion? The driver info is:

his is a USB driver for using the SC-8850 on MacOS X.

Products:SC-8850

Compatible with Apple's standards of CoreMIDI
Universal Binary (This driver can work on both CPU, Intel processors and PowerPC processors.)
Single/Dual processor support
Compatible with Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard" as of OCT. 26, 2007

Any ideas as I does not appear in Midi and Audio.

Thanks,
Rob

Rolands UK réponse:

Thanks for your email.

Unfortunately the SC8850 won't have any more driver updates I'm sorry to say.

Mac OS Lion has had quite a few conflicts with a lot of devices and software not just Roland either.

I have found that alot of our customers have been downgrading back to OSX 10.6.8 so that they can continue using their devices.

Dooooooh!!!

What I will do is try and use a MIDI to USB and see if that works. Think it will as it works for my SC-55 MKII.

Cheers,
