Hmm. It was already enabled, but maybe the file was locked by the system. Anyway I gave my system a fresh reboot. Perhaps, you can try now.. I'll be at queststudios irc channel, if u still encounter problems.
Sorry for the hassle.

Connection interupted again it seems...
Does your ftp client give you the option to resume when you upload? If not, try cuteftp, as I've just tested it and it supports resuming.

Sorry about that... I didn't realize that the commandline FTP program didn't support resuming. I'm using gFTP now, and it works quite well.

Sorry to bring up an old post from before, but how can I 'rip' the .AUD files on the Kq8: MOE CD to mp3 files for winamp?

Glad to see I'm not the only one who enjoys KQ7.  We are a rare breed indeed. Wink  I've been dying for a soundtrack for years, and you have restored my hope of actually getting it.  Keep up the good work!

God, I talk nonsense. Rereading my posts from 12 months ago.. some things stay the same, some things change..

No wonder I stopped announcing release dates. Tongue

Anyways, ironically I was thinking about KQ7- and Lady Tsepish (the forum poster, not the crying woman)- this week. Was searching the old QuestStudios forums last week, since I wasn't up to much else (had surgery again- that's irony in itself) and saw the various requests for KQ7, one or two from evidently this same poster. How long ago was that? 2000?

To cut to the chase- I do still plan on recording a KQ7 double CD. Every week it gnaws at the back of my mind.
In fact, after I posted those comments 12 months ago, I did finish my old QFG4CD, and I did commence work on a KQ7CD. In fact, I recorded 4 chapters' worth of digital audio. However, my work back then wasn't quite good enough (certainly not up to QuestStudios' standards, which is what I base my CD's quality on). So I'll be 'revisiting' the score, like I'm currently doing with QFG4 and the CD for that soundtrack I finished 13 months ago.

Now that I think of it, I still have a few chapter 5/6 MIDI's from KQ7 to record. That'll be.. fun. Tongue (Lot of awkward ones there..)

But KQ7 is one of my personal favourite soundtracks. Some awesome orchestral works, and nice jazz and fun stuff thrown in for good measure.
I'd like to think I'd start work on it in January 2005.. I finished a soundtrack CD today (no comments from me as of yet) so KQ7 is up the proverbial list. Don't expect a release in the next month, as opposed to other projects which hopefully will be released soon. I'd say.. 2 to 4 months, as a conservative estimate. It's certainly a score I enjoy working with. The game was very enjoyable, for what it was.

Nice to see you around these parts in my time here, Lady. Any questions, I'm fairly easy to reach.

Haha, yup I am the very same Lady Tsepish from long ago.  I like to pop in every now and again to see the latest progress and to do my usual whining (which I'm sure everyone just loves).

Anyway, I sure do appreciate the hard work and dedication from everyone involved to make this dream a reality, and hey, if I've waited this long I can wait longer.  Hehe. :smt023

Whining gets things done. Wink

If my webmistress didn't kick my behind every so often (and vice versa) my site would never be updated.

Re KQ7, the first thing I'll be looking at doing this time will be compiling the General MIDI soundtrack for this website (that'll take a while). From that will come the soundtrack CD. It'll be nice to get used to the original KQ7 soundtrack before enhancing it, this time.

Yes, and don't stop 'whining', Lady. Send me an email or some other message from time to time and make sure I come good on my promise. KQ7 IS probably one of my favourite soundtracks; so much good emotionally charged stuff, which is my favourite type of game music (Makes you care about the game, AND its' music)- so I am likely to do it, I just need some 'fan motivation every so often.

Regards,
- Alistair
