Hallo Sierra Soundtrack lovers, it's a pleasure to meet you!!

First of all I want to thank Tom and all the QS stuff for making accessible something special we admire... years ago I recorded in cassettes some game soundtracks while playing so that I oculd hear them any time... after I discovered Internet this site seemed like a treassure..

now, I have the game Rama, it has a great soundtrack but it's not very famous... I wonder how I could rip its music since I don't think it's going to appear in QS

If i manage to do this, I will be happy to share it with you

Does it feature a midi soundtrack or a digital one?

Either way, look here.

I believe it's digital, in which case, GAP (Game Audio Player) should work.

'ello. ^^

I ripped and encoded (into mp3) all the music tracks I could find in the resource file, but I haven't identified them all.. There are still nine tracks that just have 'Unknown [number]' as the title. ^^; The other 14 are tagged correctly as far as I can tell. (I haven't played the game in a long time.. I'd be appreciative if someone who's finished the game would doublecheck my tagging and ID the unknowns.)

I took one copy of each track (I have a bunch of copies of each track that repeat a different number of times) and uploaded them to my site in a single ZIP. (17 MB total)

And, would QS like to have them? :o

(Something hit me when I read about the bandwidth problem-thing, sorry if you've been barraged with this particular idea already. ^^; Why not put up the complete Mp3/OGG Vorbis soundtracks as BitTorrents?)

Saw this again after a LONG time!!!

Talec, are yous till here? I don't know why i hadnt' replied you so long, but if you are reading this, YES, I WANT THEM

Anyway, I had just tried to record them, although not by ripping (some ambient sound effets can be heard on the background, like wind but it's almost indistingishable and quite fits the music) but i can't edit them

Tom, if you want i can start sending you my files, provided that you will cut some seconds from the start and end, and probably fix the bitrate (sometimes i saved them as 32 bit stereo while 16 bit mono would suffice.. yes Rama music is mono Sad )

also, the introduction has narration. Is it possible for it to be removed with some filter?

update: I found Talec's webpage with the RAMA music page in http://www.dimensionalarea.net/portal/rama/rama.htm

I will try it and if the quality is good i will cease my attempt Smiley gee.. the hours i spent.. Sad

Here we are again

I downloaded the mp3s from the site but I was not satisfied with their quality. My recordings are slightly better. I also edited and fixed them.

I kept one or two from the mp3s of the site, in an instance i could not find and visit, in order to record its music

Tom, if you want them, just ask
